Rescues are occasionally available to select homes. Some of these dogs have been mistreated, while others have just been neglected, poorly trained, or unsocialized. Puppies are NEVER available, because unethical breeders simply sell anything that remotely resembles a Caucasian Ovcharka as a purebred, figuring Americans don't know the difference. ThunderHawk sometimes spends years rehabilitating a dog before it is ready to be adopted out to a new home; some dogs are never adopted out and spend the rest of their life loved by ThunderHawk; thus, there is an adoption fee of $750 to help offset medical and food. Gracie -- PLACED!!! :)
Gracie is a lovely 3-year-old medium-ADR purebred Caucasian that gets along with some dogs, but not others, and tends to ignore (or even dominate) folks who are "cream puffs". As such, this lovely girl has bounced from home to home and is still seeking her Forever Home! We are looking for a home that is experienced with protective-aggressive dogs. Gracie is spayed, housetrained, leash-trained, crate-trained, loves car rides and would make someone an awesome Forever Dog!
NEWSFLASH! Caucasian Rescue in Dubai has been safely rehomed in the U.S.! Thanks to all who donated!!!
ThunderHawk Rescue -- PLACED!!!!
June 18, 2012 -- A ThunderHawk Caucasian has shown up in rescue in California and needs to find her Forever Home. Her name is ThunderHawk's Royal Fire (aka, "Fiera") and she was from my last litter, which is one of the best I've ever produced. Fiera is a large, red sable, higher-aggression spayed female that has been raised with a small child and is well-socialized. She is good with most male dogs, but not good with cats, chickens, or presumably, livestock. She is a lovely represenatative of her breed with a large head and nice bone, and a medium-length coat that is shed out in these pictures. PLEASE NOTE ==> Transportation is required so donations to assist in that effort will be gratefully accepted -- Thank-you to John W. for his generous donation of $100 towards getting Fiera re-homed into her Forever Home!
ALSO: Fiera has a friend who landed in rescue with her -- a blond intact male Caucasian named Maska that also needs a home (see photos below). His origins are unknown but he is a purebred CO of approximately the same age. Maska is good with most female dogs, but like Fiera is not reliable with cats, chickens, or livestock.
A wonderful adoption home has been found for Fiera -- John E. and his wife Amy have bought my book, read it, submitted an application, had references checked and been approved to adopt Fiera. John also has a well-trained GSD named Nigel to keep Fiera company. John and Amy are driving out from TN all the way to CA to pick Fiera up!
Thank-you to John W. of Saskatchewan for the generous donation of $100 to assist in Fiera's rescue! The funds will be used for gas money to get Fiera back to her new home!!! :)
Amber -- PLACED!!!
Female, clear fawn, 5 years old. Suitable for a single owner with no other pets or only a male dog. Beautifully house-trained, leash-trained, crate-trained, low-aggression, very sweet with her person, but intolerant of others.
Janga -- PLACED!!!
Janga is 4 years old, medium-high ADR, and medium Sociability. Although Janga is VERY high Trainability and VERY eager-to-please, he is a serious protection dog whose mission in life is to defend. He is available for adoption because of health problems with his owner. He is very active, and would fit well with an experienced active owner with no other pets. A 6-ft. high fenced backyard is a must.
Rescue Me
Rescue me not only with your hands but with your heart as well. I will respond to you. Rescue me not out of pity but out of love. I will love you back. Rescue me not with self-righteousness but with compassion. I will learn what you teach. Rescue me not because of my past but because of my future. I will relax and enjoy. Rescue me not simply to save me but to give me a new life. I will appreciate your gift. Rescue me not only with a firm hand but with tolerance and patience. I will please you. Rescue me not only because of who I am but who I'm to become. I will grow and mature. Rescue me not to revere yourself to others but because you want me. I will never let you down. Rescue me not with a hidden agenda but with a desire to teach me to trust. I will be loyal and true. Rescue me not to be chained or to fight but to be your companion. I will stand by your side. Rescue me not to replace one you've lost but to sooth your spirit. I will cherish you. Rescue me not to be your pet but to be your friend. I will give you unconditional love.
