When the girls arrived it was the end of March but winter still had a death-grip on Ontario. Here they are exploring the large compound around the house and barn.
After I lost Jade as a breeder, I decided to import some new breeding stock. Importing from Russia was not an option for humanitarian reasons: their treatment of gays and the invasion of Crimea set the country back 50 years -- this is not an economy I want to support with my hard-earned dollars. So I looked elsewhere. My first two girls are breath-takingly beautiful and have stirling temperaments. It was such a nightmare getting them, however, that I cannot support either the breeder or the country of import. Suffice it to say I paid twice the going rate for puppies and twice that in shippjng fees. My second set of imports was almost as bad, but that is another post. So here are my two gorgeous new prospective dams at 4.5 months old. "Conquista" is the fighter and "Cassiopeia" is the lover! :)
